Artist’s Statement
Turlough O’Donnell is a graduate of Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Working primarily in the medium of oil paint, Turlough lives and works in the town of Blessington. His immediate environment that is close at hand is his starting point; the town where he lives; the surrounding mountains; the rivers and lakes. Within these everyday spaces he searches and explores universal themes, the transience of time and the enduring presence of nature.
